Holy crap, if those 3 are your examples of RPG's better than Mass Effect, this generation is in a lot of trouble. I don't think ME1 is the best rpg this gen, a truly amazing experience though. Mass Effect 2 will be epic, one of the few franchises that's made me regret switching to a PS3. There were some truly amazing moments in the first game (no, not the alien sex scene). I will find a way to play this game, hopefully before all the spoilers appear online (bought ME1 on day 1), I would have cracked it if I knew that in ME1 you had to choose who died between Ashley and Kaiden (I chose Kaiden, never used him during the campaign by choice anyway) before I had actually got a chance to play it for myself. Will be picking up the PC version though (assuming wikipedia is correct). Also according to wikipedia, these 2 games (ME1 and 2) run on Unreal 3. Pretty suprising because I thought the 360 loved Unreal engine 3, why did ME1 have so many technical hiccups (texture loading was awful). |
Personally speaking, I believe Mass Effect plays and feels better on the 360, but if you have to get your Mass Effect fix, get it on PC. Get the other missions on the Bioware website online as well.
