Europe didn't get the cheaper SKU, so they definately had a $200 price cut and the 20GB SKU in the U.S was in limited supply, we know this because the 60GB SKUs sales were higher than the 20GB SKU by a ratio of 4:1 and if people were struggling to pay or justify the ticket price, especially knowing they could upgrade the HDD later they would have chosen the cheaper SKU if they could.
