I found the story to be rather loose, although I did like the slow transformation and only really noticed it towards the end.
At the time i thought hold on a minute.......
I thought shadow of the colossus was an amazing game and riding agro just felt 'right' somehow.
The game however was COMPLETELY ruined for me by the last colossus. The last colossus was far too easy to kill and although the most epic in physical stature, it was severely lacking in the 'je ne sais quoi' of the rest of the colossi. This destroyed the immersion and made me feel that the game was repetitive in one master stroke.
The last colossus was too mechanical in everything that it did, I didn't even feel remotely sorry for it when it died.
I have not played the new zelda on Wii purely because I feel the game series needs a shift in another direction.
