True but the year is still young, the 360's price cut advantage is still active so it can easily rise to 3 million

 

The important difference IMO between then and now is that the Xbox 360 has had an extremely deep price cut relative to the PS3 in Others especially, whilst then the PS3 and Xbox 360 sales/Average sale price were relatively close.
