I'm trying to determine whether you're being serious.

If you are, nice thread

Although the PS3 hardly "crushed" the 360 in weekly sales in Q1-3 2008; the gap was similar to the 360-PS3 gap in 2009. Perhaps a little more, only because Sony always has the lead on Microsoft in Japan, so it was higher America + higher Europe + higher Japan, as opposed to higher NA + higher Europe -lower Japan.

VGChartz Hardware data for the period 04th Oct 2008 to 03rd Jan 2009:

Xbox 360 advantage: 81.4%
Console PS3 X360
Total
3,825,018
5,957,628

VGChartz Hardware data for the period 10th Jan 2009 to 04th Apr 2009:

Xbox 360 advantage: 19.1%
Console PS3 X360
Total
2,100,855
2,502,791

VGChartz Hardware data for the period 12th Jan 2008 to 05th Apr 2008:
Xbox 360 disadvantage: 21.8%
Console PS3 X360
Total
2,387,906
1,690,009

VGChartz Hardware data for the period 06th Oct 2007 to 05th Jan 2008:
Xbox 360 disadvantage: 1.1%
Console PS3 X360
Total
4,249,431
4,203,166

Furthermore, the Xbox 360 has had its best performance relative to the PS3 in the last time period it has had ever.

So overall (in these timeframes anyway)

Xbox 360 price cut - 2.5 million

PS3 price cut - 750k ...

Yep, but the PS3 IIRC aquired a yearly gross of 1.8M on the Xbox 360 even after the first price cut due to sustained high sales during the year before the rather deep price cuts hit for the Xbox 360 at the end of the year.

True but the year is still young, the 360's price cut advantage is still active so it can easily rise to 3 million
