Bring subtitles anime not yet localized!

I can live with the ads. Just give us the anime!

I doubt it, aside from some exceptions oriented towards younger viewers, anime has not been that successful in the west, it's still not really mainstream and very often not culturally neutral as Nintendo content tends to be (or tries to be). Given their recent strategy, I think what we're going to see is mostly very Western content (or at least content that has been successful in the West), as well as content that promotes their business such as Pokemon.

I didn't claim they were going to. I just stated I wanted it.

But subtitling them would not cost a lot, so being a smaller market wouldn't be too much of an expense.

True, and you also have the advantage of anime being popular among the demographic that are likely early adopters. But I think Nintendo's main approach will be to provide the kind of content that is ordinary of television, but in a way that has the same benefits of internet TV.

Yeah, that would likely come first. But should Nintendo feel it is worth their while (perhaps loads of support on the votes channels), who knows?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
