Brand value in economic terms would generally be what you pay for something if you remove all the physical things such stock, employees, land and other physical assets.  So what would you pay for the Wii name without getting Miyamoto and co and without their stock of components, contracts, etc?  The fact that the PS2 brand name is ranked lowed than Xbox would suggest they have taken the view that the PS2 brand name has been damaged by the PS3 and the Xbox brand name has been enhanced by Xbox 360.

 

 

 Well that could be a reason, but does that mean if wii was named GC2 or DS was named name GameBoy DS, gameboy and GC would have been higher on the list? so the brand value isn't based on actual money as sales and stocks but just how people react to a certain name.
