The problem here is that I have the OPTION to play matchmaking or choose my own servers in PC games. I have the OPTION of talking or not  and listening or not to people and still being able to communicate. I have the OPTION to play with mods on or off.I have those OPTIONS, and I'm not shoehorned into one of them. That's why the PC online is so much better than the Console ones. It just has far more possibilities.

Also it's false about the mods assumption. Find9ing a vanilla WCIII is far harder than finding a DOTA game. Finding a UT2004 server now is even harder than that. Oblivion is utter PoS instead just mediocre without any of the mods on PCs. UTIII has become quite like UT2004 now too, it's harder to find a vanilla game than one without mods. Overall I fail to see where you are getting the idea that people play more vanilla and less mods. The only game wehre I can consistently find vanilla servers are L4D and TF2. And isn't TF2 just a mod of HL2 anyhow?

As for the idiots, at least those idiots know how to get their PC to run a simple game. More than I can say for most console gamers. From what I hear it's a painfully difficult process, hence they play on consoles and not PCs. I will give you the fact that WoW has an astouding amount of idiots, but at least I don't have to listen to them, I can choose not to read, it's far harder to choose not to hear.

Muting voices on Live are User based... so mute them once muted in any game you play... much better than dealing with a jerk who has multipul characters harassing you.  There is something I enjoy about playing on Xbox Live that I just don't get out of a PC MP experience and that's is that I have way better pick up groups.  It's not as awesome as going to Drippy's 2Fort on TFC and jumping in with a bunch of crazy awesome people, but it has its benefits.  TF2 is a mod of HL2 about as much as L4D is.

See, I don't want to do that, because they may actually say something important in an important time of the match. I haven't ignored 1 person on WoW either, for the same reason, and I think we can agree WoW's population can be far more immature. If it wass text I just would get the first word and move on, if it was important I'd finish it, if ont I wouldn't bother with the idiot. Honestly, my experience with Live is that I find more idiots than not, and since it's matchmaking I can't just start going to the same server expecting to see the same people pop in and out.
