I don't mind the style at all. It reminds me of an evolution of the NFL Blitz look. What I don't get I suppose is why this is a good fit for Madden, since it's more sim than it is arcade game. Regardless of the look though, if they can make a sliding scale of features to fine tune the game for both sim and arcade fans, then I will absolutely buy this on top of my yearly 360 pick up.

This.  These screens scream, "We're turning this into an arcade game!"  I definitely don't want that.

No, you're just assuming that. Really, they have given no indication of gameplay changes. They might, but assuming facts about the substance based on appearance? Um, that's actually a form of prejudice.

Dude what the fuck are you talking about? I never made any assumptions about the gameplay. I merely said the art style lends itself more towards an arcade style game(since it's inspired by NFL Blitz) than it does a simulation game(which is what Madden traditionally is). Quit putting words in my mouth.(1)

What is this gonna be Lord, your new crusade? You going to defend Madden in all facets until it finally releases, because god forbid anybody on this planet actually has an opinion on a drastic artistic change a very popular series has taken? Get over it. Considering you seemingly have no personal interest in this game, I'm beginning to think this is you just looking for trouble again. Your thread title suggest as much.(2)

1. I was replying to tarheel. Who were you replying to?

2. I'm not commenting on opinions about the art change. It's those that take it to mean things like the entire game is going to be bad, or that the gameplay is being ruined (when trestres nicely provided a link proving it won't be), or that EA hates the Wii (even though they are getting Motion+ out before even Nintendo will), or that this is going to kill the sales.

So no, it's not the opinions I'm calling on. It's the judgements and assumptions.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
