I'm only expecting an 8.5 review score and about 3 million in sales for ODST. I think Killzone 2 has already countered it.

IGN had some article on game series that had overstayed their welcome a bit, and I think the Halo series was one of them because the mini-pic by the article was of Master Chief.  However, I haven't had much luck trying to find the article since I first saw it, and I didn't read it.

Have you seen worldwide sales this week?  Killzone 2 has countered Halo so well, that in it's 8th week it is being outsold by Halo 3 which has been out 10 times as long. And that's a game with almost 10m copies floating around out there. And you think a brand new expansion is going to lack momentum?

It's just my opinion, but I do think ODST is going to sell less than any previous Halo (not counting Wars).

I think ODST has the potential to become the #1 first week seller past GTA, imho.  The game is expected to be cheaper than the $59.99 price point, and it's a refreshing change for Halo 3 addicts...that spells MASSIVE opening week to me.

Heru..Let's be serios you and me for a bit...It's a brand new Co-op campaign.....and then you can just go online with the ODST Disc as if you were playing your Halo 3 disc....Massive....I think this will prove alot of things not only about Halo...But about Xbox 360...

One thing that will be proven is that M$ isn't using the Haloverse as much as possible.  Nintendo has how many games with it's franchise IP's like Mario?  Personally, I LIKE the Halo lore, as it is interesting Sci-Fi, and imho, there is nothing wrong with expanding your universe.  Look at how many Bond movies there are, and so it's not about volume, it's about quality.  I remember a few years back, when the superhero movie genre got kicked off with Blade and Xmen, and about 3-4 years later, some anal-ysts were predicting that the industry had peaked at Spider-Man...lol...how stupid was that!  So, wrt ODST, it is M$ and Bungie opportunity to expand the Haloverse beyond M/C, who btw is a very compelling character, but as Halo Wars proved, there's more to Haloverse than just M/C.
