Even with the arcade rom it's a pretty big game and the Wii internal storage isn't cutting it for that, and releasing games to retail is an expensive (read: risky) venture. Capcom is making the right choice. Of course, the fact that they didn't put SF4 on the Wii leads me to continue believing they are biased. |
In regards to SF4... let me explain to you why there isn't a Wii version.
The game was originally released on the Taito X2 arcade hardware. Which is actually a PC running Windows XP. That game was then ported to the 360 and PS3 which can be done easily. So basically Capcom was able to make one version of SF4 and bring it to the Arcade, PC, 360, and PS3 with minimal effort and money.
Now for Capcom to make SF4 for the Wii they can't just port it because the Wii hardware is very different (inferior). They essentially have to rebuild it completely and make a Wii specific port.
In a nutshell it was cheap and easy to make it for the 360 and PS3. It will take a lot more effort and money to make a Wii version and it might not generate a worthwhile profit.
