Why Nintendo hasn't mandated that online games use WiiSpeak

This makes a lot of sense, about creative freedom and whatnot.

 

Although yes, they do intervene a lot on 2nd-party projects, but i don't think they do so to any particularly invasive degree. They're just there to make sure their properties don't get wrecked.
