neo geo was supported by snk until sumarai shodown special in october of 2004, snk went under in 2001 but eventual reformed under playmore and the neo geo limped on until 2004, but hardware production stopped in 1997 for the home system
the atari 2600 definately lasted for 14 years, with new official atari games coming out all the way until 1991, Secret Quest was the last game released with hardware being released until the last year I believe, I know I have one from 1988
