The iron axe has an SP level of 1, and by holding B you can do a special attack that destroys a stump in 6 hits. The silver axe has an SP level of 2, and can destory a stump in three hits, etc. Basically, you need the next axe. Turnips are actually your best bet, especially at this stage: 10 GP for a bag of seeds, 270 or so GP per turnip, only five days turnaround time. And yes, Bessie is on the lowest level of the Green Ruins. Had you recruited one, it would have destroyed the Cockatrice for you...the first time. |
All right. But to reduce my RP usage I need a higher tool level, not SP level - and that's determined by the level of my lowest-leveled ingredient. So when you get down to it, I need higher quality ore. The only question is where do I get that?
I now have a chicken, a slime, a Bellsprout-looking thing, a sheep, a cow, and a mini mage. I'll be taking the cow into battle. The slime and mini mage will be doing field cleanup.
Is there any reason to ever take monsters off their jobs?
Edit: And Turnips? Well, all right...
