Pirate Bay is up and will probably stay that way. Again, there was no good reason for it to be shut down. If not the pirate bay, then other sites would provide the same thing. It makes no difference either way. Those who wish to pirate will not suddenly become software consumers given the shut down of a major public torrent site.
It's like when OiNK in the UK got shut down (massive private music torrent site). Anyone remember that? Once they shut down OiNK, it spawned two new services, What.cd and Waffles.fm which go well beyond the scope of the original.
