Argh! Okay, so upgrading my tools at the forge will increase their SP level, right? Is that referring to their level when they're forged (I only have one level 2 tool and that's my Tomahawk) or the required skill for making it?
I have a battle plan - it occurs to me that the most important resource in the game is still money. I'm going to use the shortcut system in the Green Ruins to keep five constant plots of the most valuable spring crops growing constantly (I don't know what these are, yet, but potatoes are nice). I'll use my farm mostly for growing fodder, and then use my monsters to help me clear the field over time.
Just need to figure out which ones are best for what.
Also I think I saw a cow in the Green Ruins, what the Hell!?
