Ok with approximately 48.45mil home consoles sold we have two winners the wii& the 360
Wii is clearly a winner for two reasons it has out sold ps360 holding more than 46% of the market plus it is a winner because it has out sold last gen nintendo gamecube by almost 2:1
360 is also a winner as it has out sold Xbox and is over 500,000 console,s ahead
PS3 at this point is the only real loser as with around 62% of total consoles sold this gen compared to last the ps3 has only sold about 17% of ps2 sales
With approx 75-80mil consoles[numbers from vgchartz] sold last gen and of them 28-29mil were XB-GC and 50mil were ps2
This leave,s about 30mil from last gen. How many of these will only go to the ps3. And how many extra console will be sold.
Will the market expand by 30mil and if so how do you think this will break down?. That would leave another 60mil consoles to be sold I think it will be [wii=34mil 360=11mil ps3=16mil] total gen [wii=57mil 360=28mil ps3=25mil]
This would leave the ps3 with only half the install base/sales of the ps2 though much better than it has now

Wii with about 475%of GC
