The gap is 8.15 million right now and growing (except this week due to PS3's Japan sales spike). How do you think the PS3 can reduce it to 6-8 million for the next two years? I think it will near 9 million this year, if not more. Then in 2010, I don't see how Sony can shave 3 million off of that, so your 6 million number seems rather weird to me.

By the end of the year, with all the releases PS3 will have the gap will be bellow 8 millions. In 2010 (with the assumption of a pricecut) PS3 will gain momentum in others and japan, while battling 360 in america (will lose though)...this way its not very hard to cut from the gap another 700k-800k. So in 2 years the gap can be under 7million.
To tell you the truth i can not see how gap can go over 10 or 11 millions in 2 years time. If you have a theory i'll be happy to hear it
