let's look at a metaphorical situation with similar differences. multiply the prices by 100 40,000 vs 20,000 say those prices are for a truck. They are pretty similar, and the cheaper one has had some issues in the past with the battery dying early. On top of that, the expensive one comes from a long line of award winning automobiles that your family or friends own in one way or another, and you like what it has to offer. Say you make 50,000 a year and you have no other expenses. Which one do you buy? Do you save 30k for the year or only 10k? Say the price drops on the 40k one, and goes down to 30k or even 35k. Is that 5 or 10k enough to get you through the rest of the year? lets say the same with a soft drink: 2$ vs 4$ @4$, the drink is almost as expensive as a meal. At 3$, not so much, but 2$ is better, and just about the average price. 2.50$ or more is kind of expenisve for a soft drink don't you think? Some people will splurge, some people won't. The bottom line: 400$ is about what the average person makes in about 9-12 days. 300$ is about what the average person makes in 5-6 days, including days not working. At 200$, you could buy something with one paycheck. You don't even need to save! You can buy the console and possible a game with one check and then scrub until next payday. @400$ you need to scrub for an entire week and halfway into another week, it really takes some planning. If you don't scrub, it could even take longer. However, nothing beats a price that you can afford in one paycheck.

You really can't argue to much with that bottom line... that's simple economic truth. It's especially true with people who buy the Arcade version... they just want to play madden or fifa or whatever is their game of choice... maybe download some roster updates.
