Action/Adventure: a definite chance
Platformer: doubtful, it is hard to beat SMG
Racing: Another good chance dependent on what specific type of racing game you like
FPS: doubtful, Halo and GeoW will most likely keep this sewn up
RPG: doubtful, WRPG's seem to be the big metacritic scorers lately, and there aren't any notable exclusive PS3 WRPG's.
