If they try to make the game photo realistic on the Wii, it will be bashed as being not as good as the PS3 or Xbox 360 -- which it cannot be. If they try something different, it will be bashed because it is not photo realistic. The style reminds me of super hero comics/cartoons. Slightly out-of-proportion bodies closer to an "ideal state" than is humanly possible. It will come down to how it controls. I found Madden 09 to actually work while 08 was too sensitive. It also came on the heels of the poorly-reviewed Wii version of NCAA. So it had two strikes against it (three if you include the goofy cover). Mike from Morgantown |
But look at the Conduit. All Wii games are supposed to look like that, even though a football game does not use the system resources the same way as a linear FPS.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
