I think you fail to understand that with almost whatever you write you will see people who agree with you and those who don't. And even in the end if you end up being right, those who didn't agree often get even more upset.
For example I could have said I thought President Bush was a very bad President, obviously a majority of Americans didn't agree as he was voted into office again. However in the end most Americans agreed he wasn't the right President for the country, but those who still stick by Bush (nomatter the evidence) will not be all too friendly to those who said so from the beginning.
Similarly in a couple of years general perspectives on the PS3 hardware may be completely different (games like Killzone 2 already helped a lot). IMO it's nothing to get too personal or emotional about.
