IGN, GamePro, and GameSpot are really the most important reviews. Even if they aren't always the most consistent with their reviews. Those are the ones that matter most.
Metacritic? They take into account reviews from joe nobody's website. Hence, if 9 credible sourcse rate a game 95/100, but 1 joe nobody rates it a 60/100 that will drastically lower the rating.
I can't believe anyone takes that rating system seriously.
