Am I the only person who respects Nintendo as a dev but not a console maker

One could argue that Nintendo's lowest point was with the Gamecube. That was the one and only time that Nintendo didn't try to pave their own way, and just followed the crowd. Every other console that Nintendo made broke new ground.
