Gears isn't going PS3 for the same reasons Mass Effect isn't. Here is one you might be able to relate with. Resistance is a third party title as well, but has no hope of going to the 360 (not that it's needed lol...but still the example stands). MGS4 is another example. At the time Bioware was approached on a multiplatform version Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 they said "no comment".
