Well, every Wii gamer has different tastes: each of us may like some very niche games, each of us may like some well known "classic" franchises, and each of us may like some mass market titles...
So no, you're not alone... we all got the same ticket: in business class, of course, as first class is only to be paid on PS360... :))
The best thing with Wii is diversity: it's a console for everyone, no matter age, sex or gaming tastes, and so, every kind of game desearves a shot... it's the accumulation of many niches that creates a very large "universal" userbase, and healthy business (and creative) opportunities for 3rd parties...
It doesn't matter if 95% of the games on the system are not interesting for you or for me, as long as these games may bring fun to totally different people... and as long as the 5% "made for us" are so awesome that they will give us some of our best playing memories ever...

"A beautiful drawing in 480i will stay beautiful forever...
and an ugly drawing in 1080p will stay ugly forever..."
