Yes, but it's a simulation of real life football.

 

That is not the same as looking like real life. And a lot of things, like the way light shines, is not actually realistic, but it's done that way because it looks good in games. So enough with this crap about this series having to look realistic it never did. It just followed standards of what gamers think is supposed to be realistic.

Too bad it doesn't follow those standards with this year's update...

And personally, I disagree; the game does indeed look pretty realistic.  At least enough to tell when there's a step down in realism.

 

 

No, it's not "too bad". It's just something you don't like. It's pretending your opinion is fact that makes you wrong. Even if others share it, it's still an opinion.

Correct, it's an opinion.  It may be an opinion that a good portion agree with, but it is still an opinion, and I'll obviously admit to that.  What is not an opinion, is that the game has indeed lost textures and graphical prowess, while gaining other arcade effects, all of which don't match what the Madden franchise up until recently set out to do.  And if you or anybody else want a more arcade-like style Madden, it's an opinion to think that that may be the right way for the franchise to go.

I'm just here to state the fact that that's not what made the series so great up until this point, and in my opinion it never will either.
