I thought he was complaining about having to be a certain distance away from the TV.... if he was complaining about needing to be too close then it certainly works from a lot further than 6 feet, again you should adjust the sensitivity and it should be fine up to 5 metres (13 feet) away in most households, at the poorest 4 metres, which is still 10 feet

Ah, hmm well that could be... now I don't know what he was complaining about anymore. :p

Anyway, yeah, the IR can be adjusted to work fine whether you're close up or a bit farther away, though I'm usually too lazy to do so and my IR signal gets all jumpy and messy when I get more than about 3 metres away from the screen. :p But who plays more than a few meters away from their screen anyway? 

But the motion controls are entirely different, there it doesn't matter whether you're 1 foot or 30 feet away from your tv.
