| Fei-Hung said: they did get fined, not sure if if was a total of $2.4million or each director to pay 2.4 million or to pay 2.4mil to each company. Regardless of who the judge is, piracy is wrong and if has a big knock on effect on the industry. Piracy is theft and therefor the guilty should be punished. If you had 100 staff, overheads to pay on a monthly basis as well as salaries and a family to look after and feed, only to know that the work you have dedicated 2 years of your life on is now being illeagally distributed for free, I assure you, you won't be happy! I know because I am self employed and my staff expect me to pay them on project completion. At times they work 48 hours if it's something important. Piracy is not just theft of a property, but it is also stealing money from someones pocket. I pray they appeal and get a higher sentence and fine. Morally, ethically and legally they have done wrong and you can't spin that in anyway, that's fact! |
