well 99$ gamecube didn't help nintendo overtake ps2.

sony still have to play it big game card, and many price cuts even if 360 gets one.

there is going to be a point 360 can't cut put more. or doing so won't do much

problem was that the Gamecube just didnt have many appealing games.. which was one of the reasons I traded mine in for other stuff

game are multiplatform, sony at the end of this gen will have a huge catalog of first party exclusives way bigger than microsoft.

thats the thing. and 360 feeling pressure may means things like xbox live free ;)

I don't know about that. Sony has a lot of exclusive now and no ones buying them. Look a the poor sales of KZ2, Valkyrie Chronicles, Ratchet and Clank, Motorstorm 2, Resistance 2, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Folklore, MLB The Show 09, etc... The only exclusive for the PS3 that has lived up to sales expectation was MGS IV.  Right now Sony is the one feeling the pressure because they are LAST and their SALES are lower then year, then last year. Meantime, even in a terrible economy like this, the XBox 360 and the Wii both have increased sales. Better sales in 09, then in 08. That's a huge difference. Another price drop by Microsoft and this holiday you won't be able to find an XBox 360. Last holiday the 360 Arcade was very hard to find. The only XBox 360 I even saw were a few Elites. There were plenty of PS3's though. Games are multiplate as you say, and most gamers would rather play those multiplats on a cheaper system. Should I pay $400 to play CoD4, Burnout Paraside, Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5 and GTA IV or should I pay $200 or $300? Many of the multiplats have exclusive content only on the XBox 360. I keep hearing PS3 fans complaining about not getting the GTA IV DLC or the Fallout 3 DLC that's exclusive on XBox 360/PC.  I just laugh.
