I think it's because many 'gamers' felt betrayed because the Wii wasn't decided first and foremost for them and worse, it's the top selling system meaning next gen, all systems might be aimed at the casual market first and gamers second.
Just imagine pink PS4s at launch and Facebook integrated into XBL
