Why does everyone assume that Microsoft is just going to slash prices to counter Sony? Has this happened yet? Both companies have cut prices at different eventual points in time. Microsoft will cut the 360s price when the demand slows down and it makes sense for them financially. I bet the weather the storm of sales by Sony.
And yes, I believe Sony will still do gangbusters if they drop the price to around $300.
