Bungie Responds to 640p Claims

Difference is very minimal, expecially if you have an SD tv. IN movies though 1080p>480i. Even on an SD tv you see more detail and more colors.

For games there is basicly barely any differnce, unless the graphics are amazing(UT3, gears of war, KZ2 type).
