In fact, it is a Shinto symbol which, being an animist religion, honors the spirit of nature.

Hence why it is on a picture for "Earth day"

and why the three pieces of the triforce in the game represent the 3 goddess who brought about the world in the game.

i love when peopel think games, manga or other stuff created some design.  heck even the swastica wasn't some nazi thing only.  ha they just ruined it

in the very first game, you get pieces of the triforce from dragons that you kill.

The triforce was also the family crest of the Hojo clan. It started when an old man went down to a cave and met a dragon who gave him three scales of its own skin, according to legend.

so according to legend huh?   that doens't mean that is what they were.  nintendo even said when OoT came out it was the first Zelda game.  And we learn what the triforce really is.

Its just like in Fire Emblem 9-10.  In Lehrens medallion or the fire emblem there is the legend of a DARK GOD sealed away inside it, and if released will destroy the world. Now if you played the games you know the truth about it.
