That being said, the technical merits of it were impressive. But just because a game is technically impressive doesn't mean it's good or fun. I found it to be neither.

 

Too true, too true, same as with Crysis. What's also similar in both cases is that the technical achievement isn't that awesome when you check the seams (incredibly stupid AI and physics in Crysis, massive pop-in and slowdowns in GTA IV).

Again; GTA IV was not GTA to me, it was a pale clone of the past titles, much like newer Need for Speed titles are.
