Yes, it's the return of the Elimination Game - again! This time, we're doing it with fighting game franchises.
This time around, franchises were selected under the following conditions. Firstly, the franchises must be "player vs. player"-type fighting games. Sidescrolling beat-'em-up games like the TMNT arcade games, and No More Heroes, don't count.
Additionally, it must be a franchise that is primarily a fighting franchise. Yes, Viewtiful Joe doesn't count even though it has a fighting game, Red Hot Rumble, in the franchise.
Third, it has to be an actual franchise, meaning no fewer than two games. If the second game in the franchise is only announced and not yet released, still doesn't count.
Finally, it has to have at least one console release. It doesn't matter if the release was only in Japan or something; it just has to have one.
Yeah, most of the franchises included are ones most people won't know, but if I left 'em out, I'm sure somebody would complain. Just play the stinking game.
RULES OF PLAY:
Rules are simple, and pretty much the same as previous times. Each franchise starts with 10 points. When you post, copy/paste the currently existing list from the last post, then add 1 point to one franchise, then remove a total of twotwo different franchises - one point per franchise. points total from Please re-organize the franchises as the order changes (for instance, if you vote for one and its number rises from 11 to 12, place it above all the 11-ranked franchises). Keep them in alphabetical order as they are moved around in their ranks. Mark your votes with (+) and (-).
You may vote one time every hour.
Each time you vote, you *MUST* add ONE point and subtract THREE points (one each from THREE DIFFERENT franchises), or else your post is hereby NULL and VOID. Your vote WILL NOT COUNT unless you adhere to this rule.
Additionally, please include at the top of your posts who was the last person to vote when you voted. This allows us to keep track of what's going on when multiple people are trying to vote at the same time.
Presently, there are over 130 franchises involved. As they are eliminated, add them to the end of the list in the "ELIMINATED" section, one after the next, in paragraph form, numbered and separated by commas. Keeping them in this form-factor will help shorten the length of posts.
So, to recap. RULES: Post 1x every hour. You MUST add 1 point from a franchise, subtract 2 total (one each) from two different franchises (NOT the same franchise). Mark your score changes with a (+) or a (-). Reorganize by score as the scores change, remember keep them organized in alphabetical order. Include the previous voter in your vote post so everything's easier to keep track of. When a franchise is eliminated, add it to the list at the end.
