Yakuza 3 only broke even huh? That's... disapointing... considering everyone here thought it sold really well.

Its break even on the sale to date. They can still spend little money translating and shipping to the rest of the world and make profit of it.

Localization and especially marketing costs are not to be taken lightly.

what marketing?

They'll release a high-profile (it's not Opoona), not Western-accepted game overseas and not spend on marketing? What for? Satisfy fans? Please...

It's what they did with Yakuza 2.

They didn't advertise the game at all? What about localization?Anyways, I sure hope they localize the game at least in the US so I can play it too on my (thankfully region-free) PS3.

I am merely saying SEGA will either release the game along with decent ads and push, or go stiff and keep it in Japan. Releasing it with no advertising is suicide.

1. SEGA hasn't advertized any japanese centric game they brought to NA. why suddenly start now. 2. i never said programmers get 20%. the company who the programmers works for gets it. (its up to the big guys to decide if they want to give their employees bonus') 3. if the bosses aint making money why are they in a business (obviously you dont see that 20%) 4. you admit not being on the same level
