Actually, its so easy to pirate DS games that people will buy a DS just to do that. The cards can literally be ordered for like 6 bucks. My friend just got one and it works great. On top of that kids have parents that buy them games.
In the case of the PSP. Most people who own one are probably teenagers or people who don't want to spend their money on games. That money could be spent more important things like weed and booze.
