No, sales will depends on Nintendo's marketing campaign and on the word of mouth. Old fans of the franchise will buy it.And don't forget the first mode, who will surely be great (look at Punch Out !! and Super Punch Out !!).But I agree this mode is more exciting.

 

True.  But I think a lot of series' vets who are on the fence will be urged to pick it up with this new mode.  The main criticism up to this point was that we know all the fighter's patterns from past games.  The new mode totally eliminates that advantage.
