WRPG all the way. Looking at what something like Mass Effect can accomplish is something. RPGs were originally about getting to choose your role, and how you want to play it. JRPGs put you on rails. Many people consider WRPGs to not be "true RPGs", but I think the term has been hijacked. If I have to go to points A,B,C in that order and I have little freedom in accomplishing my task, i'm not playing a role. I'm just using a turn-based platformer with shiny graphics... IMO...
