I bought a Wii because it stood out, because it was different, because it represented FUN.

That -- F-U-N -- is the whimsical quality that lacking (IMHO) in the PS3 and Xbox 360. There is not enough there that makes me want to go out and get one. I would have been happy playing my Xbox, PS2, GC, and previous generation and classic consoles. Had Nintendo played the same game, I would not have rushed out to buy one and it is doubtful that it would have sold a quarter as well as the Wii.

As for third-party support, Nintendo was thought to be DOA and then would be dead, so there would not be any. Remember, all these analysts writing the obit for the Wii because it is only outselling the combined competition 2:1 were the ones calling for Nintendo to abandon console hardware and become a multi-platform software seller like Sega.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
