I think that one of the main reasons as to why it has boosted sales is probably because of the Gamestop sale that has been going on. Every Gamestop that I have visited in my area in the past few weeks have all been sold out of the game and some of them had massive stock amounts for some reason. I think it is good that the game has picked up some steam because as more people get the game the more they will tell their friends about it and that could possibly garner more sales.
