Yes, the Final Fantasy XIII announcement was huge and caused some delicious meltdowns. But without that Microsoft really had a pretty weak conference, IMO. Sony's wasn't as spectacular, but I think was stronger overall. It just got overshadowed by that one bombshell announcement that caused so many people to lose perspective.
Mind you, I might be singing a different toon if I could actually play that South Park XBLA game right now.
