Great, I always assumed the Wii would win this generation but now that the 'experts' agree with me I think I am wrong.
Seriously though, I think the Wii will continue its march forward after a brief beat down from Halo. Since there will be no more main story Halos for the 360 that system will end # 2 in the US and battle with the PS3 for second.
I really think these are some serious pulled out of thin air statements. PC gaming up 80%. I know it's comng back from its duldrums, but with 3 serious systems in play ths generation more games are going to end up on the PC ? Maybe they are just counting the ports because as the Xbox games library grows so do the possibility for easy ports. I also think this stands no chance if MS doesn't give in on the Direct X 10 is vista only garbage.
They are still giving Sony too much credit. No one can imagine the great ones can fall so far. And yes they might pull back, but the evidence is so not there yet. Maybe if they can get the price down and soon they can pull a 30-40% market share in Japan. And since all the companies seen to enjoy hating on Europe the PS3 could show some leadership and catch up. Frankly if any company started doing same day releases for games and same day price drops in Europe as with their other territoriess I think the market would respond. I think the US has already made it's HD console decision. Yes there are plenty of diehard Metal Gear fans, but this ship has sailed. Most people who end up with a PS3 in the US will end up setting it next to their 360 and the huge library of great games it has been playing for years.
Final* Word on Game Delays:
The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.
Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.
Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.
