I have nothing against the Wii, but I didn't think of any Wii game that would be in the top10 of any genre in terms of success. I might put that Final Final CC game from the Wii. I'm continuously changing the list and making it better, it's not really finalized.
I can see Quake Live have a massive success in every single continent, with dozens of millions of people playing the game every month. Think of it as the Runescape of Shooters, only with even more potential due to the fact that it's a Quake game and looks to be awesome in every way. I am Alive is on 3 platforms, has an interesting premise, and being made by some of the people from Assassin's Creed including that chick Jade Raymond that seems to pull some attention to the games she develops by herself (which is kinda silly). The list I'm making is purely based on the commercial success the games are expected. The anticipation comes from just that. subscription-based games are likely to be well positioned even if they don't sell as many copies as the other games, because they have the monthly payments in their favour |
If it is commercial success and not "sales" you're gauging, then you need to realise that some games on that list have budgets so high that profiting will be touch and go.
Looking at you Killzone 2.
Of course if you just mean sales then carry on.
