Reason #5:Greater 1st Party Support

The Sony PS3 has a wider variety of 1st party exclusives of greater quality, more so than the Xbox 360, with studios like Guerrilla Games, Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studios, Sucker Punch Productions, insomniac Games, Incognito Games...do I really need to go on? on the other hand the 1st party support for Microsoft's console is worrying to say the least. If you are a gamer, a greater selection of exclusive titles released and surely to be released by these studios and countless others should provide gamers with great exclusive games.

In conclusion, I would advise that if you have the money, get a PS3: it is by far the more future proof console of the two, has a greater selection of 1st party studios on offer, increased compatibility and better reliability.

WINNER
PS3

Please share your views, if you are offended by the outcome, please check that you are not a fanboy of the Xbox 360..thanks.

I'm sorry, but no matter how many times people say it, it still isn't true.  Insomniac isn't first party. =)

That said, I don't think blu ray is that big of a deal unless you want to watch movies on it. The whole concept of switching discs doesn't bother me; it won't kill me to do that.

The statistics they list for Xbox 360 failure are probably outdated now. I haven't heard of the failure rate being anywhere near that bad anymore, though the E74 (right?) error seems to be affecting more consoles.

The third reason, compatibility.... Well, all that stuff is nice, but it's lacking the biggest one; PS2 BC. I'm one of the lucky ones who got a 60GB PS3, so I don't have to worry about that, but lots of people want this. The only reason I can think of as to why Sony would take it out is because you can still buy a PS2.

The online and games are the big ones for me. Free online is great because I do not want to pay so that I can play a game that I already bought. The exclusives are also great; I've tried most Sony exclusives and love almost all of them.

i guess he thinks owning the ip is first party!!
