Even with hardware faliure taken into account I don't think VGC's hardware tracking is incredibly precise anyway , they still do a good job by giving us a realistic idea of the marketshare set up with the data availble to them.
And how would you suggest we calculate faulty 360's without the data from MS ? alot of 360's would have been replaced by MS and the newer ones are reportedly more reliable .
