what are you talking about 2x 3x more powerful? check the stats again (on the wii) and last I checked these games are made with tons of shaders, physics calculations, and normal mapping......these are things that the wii cannot do at all. As far as a downported game for the wii, well it has been proven when this happens the wii gets a very horrible port. Those games are made with higher specs then the wii is capable of. Sales on these titles were very high so I do not know why it would have had to be "also" released on the wii, just do yourself a favor and pick up one of the HD twins (you will not regret it)

it's not always about things that hits you in the groin you know. when you see a 250gb HDD 10000rpm and 500gb HDD 5200rpm will you buy 500gb one just because it has 2x more GBs? first xbox was using modified pentium CPU while gamecube and wii are using power pc based CPUs that are 2-3x more powerful than standard CPUs used in pc(not to mention faster memory and better GPU).

wii gets horrible ports cause developers are lazy Dead Rising on wii could handle same amount of zombies on screen in its version but capcom was simply lazy - ps2 games pulled more enemies on screen than heavenly sword on steady framerate so how come capcom couldn't pull at least 400-500 of them on better console?

besides how many games actually pulled TEV in development so far? maybe 6-7 and all of them were on gamecube - just look at Rogue Squadron II, Wave Race, Star Fox Adventures or F-Zero GX.
