| Soriku said: I blame Deca Sports 2 sales due to FF XIII lol. Kinda hard to compete when something like that comes. Thankfully MHG is next week. Also, Hitman Reborn is a popular anime in Japan but its games seem not to sell too much :3 (Hitman Reborn = best anime ever!) @Onna MH3 will definitely have a good effect...it will definitely sell 1 mil and more in Japan alone. And it will gather a core userbase in Japan on Wii so more SW can sell (PSP had the same situation. Terrible SW/HW, MH and such came and it started selling more). Plus the Wii still has these big games coming besides MH3: -Tales of Graces -MHG (similar effect to FF XIII demo) -DQ X (I highly doubt SE is having second thoughts...) -Wii Sports Resort -Samurai Warriors 3 |
MHG and MH3 are definite chances at boosting the Wii's sales in Japan (preorders for the former game have skyrocketed, if I have heard correctly); it hasn't been much of a console seller in the past, but we'll see.
ToS 2 did solid business, so I expect Graces' impact to be no different.
DQX absolutely; if SE had second thoughts, they would've cancelled FF:CC Crystal Bearers and ported that to PS3. That has not happened. Plus, don't forget that Wii had a previous DQ title, Dragon Quest Swords, which cleared half a million copies.
Wii Sports Resort--That depends on how fresh and innovative the game is. If it can recapture the freshness of Wii Sports and utilize the WM+, it should indeed be a smash.
I can't commend on SW 3, because I am not familiar with the franchise.
