Thats easy to say for us today but for Ninty it wasn´t that easy even if they were pretty sure about it. Motion controll for the Wii wasn´t that easy to get it to work they spended more then 10 years on the ideai and to make it work. First mention about the revolution was in the early 90´s and thats how long they worked on it b4 releasing it. Well I'm debating about the friggin control. I agree Nintendo marketed it very well and I don't know why you keep bringing it up. I just feel this is the first generation the masses chose the console with the weakest library. That's my opinion and I don't care if you disagree.
And Nintendo was playing it safe by releasing a cheap console that was sold at a profit. This atleast helped guarantee they wouldn't lose money.
